Automatic, down to the second

Flowly records the active window every second: the app, and for browsers, the website. When the screen is locked or you stop using the keyboard and mouse for a few minutes, the time counts as a break.

A video or a call in the foreground still counts as present. The break threshold can be set from 1 to 15 minutes.

Your day at a glance

The Activity page shows your active time, when you started and stopped, a timeline of your day and the time spent per app and per website. Everything is sorted into categories: development, productivity, communication, learning, social media, entertainment.

The Week view compares your days. Click a day to open it in detail, and the history is kept for as long as you want. Every evening, a notification sums up your day.

Nothing leaves your computer

Window titles and page addresses stay in a local database. Flowly never takes screenshots. Only daily totals per app and category can be synced with your account.

If you turn on the AI assistant with your own OpenAI key, it only receives app and domain names to sort them, once each.

From insight to action

Tracking comes with Pomodoro and Focus work sessions, and blocking for the apps and websites that distract you. You see where your time goes, then you take it back.

Is activity tracking free?

Activity tracking is part of Flowly Pro. Timers, session statistics, the basic World and sync stay free.

Which systems does tracking work on?

Mac (Apple Silicon, macOS 12 or later), Windows 10 or later and Linux. On Linux with Wayland, some desktops need a small extension.

How does Flowly know which website I'm on?

With the Flowly extension for Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox. On Mac, macOS automation also works for Safari, Chrome, Edge, Brave and Arc.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. You can pause tracking at any time or erase your whole history from the app.
